31 August 2022 at 19:27 Stöckl confirms – wants Bråthen back as sports manager Alexander Stöckl, national team jumping coach, is clear to news that he wants Clas Brede Bråthen as sports manager for the Norwegian national jumping team. Bråthen was given the role of national team manager after the much-discussed conflict with the management of the association. The discussion surrounding Bråthen’s job comes just a day after it was announced that Ingvild Bretten Berg is leaving his job as general secretary of the Ski Association. – There is no change in what we have wanted in the past – we want Clas Brede to become sports director, as he has been for 17 years, says Stöckl. It was VG who first mentioned the possible changes in the jumping camp. The newspaper learned on Wednesday that several people in the jumping community are working to get back the model they had before the Skiforbundet conflict. – Why is it so important that he returns to his old role? – It creates peace of mind at work. Clas is the one who has built up show jumping to what it is now. With his experience and competence, it is important that he has the final responsibility, says Stöckl.
