The place is burning heavily, and there is a lot of smoke from the fire in the area. Nearby residential units are asked to keep their windows closed, the police in Finnmark report on X. In an update at 6.20am, the police write that there should be up to 1,000 tonnes of waste in the building, and that it may take days before they can put it out. There should be no risk of spread at the present time. There is no suspicion of personal injury, the message states. The civil defense has been called in to assist with water supply.
