Issuing an orange warning for gusts of wind in southern Norway – news Vestland

The warning is upgraded from yellow to orange. It applies from Friday afternoon. Locally, locally very strong gusts of between 28-36 m/s are expected from the east. The danger warning applies to parts of Agder and inner areas of Rogaland and Hordaland. – There is a high pressure that lies further north, and a low pressure that presses on in the south, which means that we get a tight wind field from the east, says on-duty meteorologist Anne Solveig Andersen. Orange hazard warning is the second highest level of hazard warning. The gusts are in many places expected to be among the strongest in the last 10 years, writes the Meteorological Institute.
