The two Israeli-American hostages Judith Tai Raanan and her daughter Natalie Shoshana Raanan from Chicago were released as a result of the efforts of Qatar and Egypt and handed over to the Red Cross. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says that a team from the US Embassy in Israel will soon meet the two released hostages. He says there are still ten missing Americans, and that the US knows that some of them are being held hostage by Hamas. He called on Hamas to release them immediately. The two women were on holiday in Israel to visit their grandmother in Kibbutz Nahal Oz who turned 85 when they were taken.
