15 January 2024 at 11:34 Norwegian dead in Turkey: Investigated as suspicious The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms to news on Monday that they are aware that a Norwegian citizen has died in Turkey, and that the next of kin have been notified. According to the Turkish newspaper Hürriyet, the police are investigating the death as suspicious. The man in his 50s was found in an apartment he rented in Istanbul and was pronounced dead on the spot. Apartment was rented together with a Greek woman in her 30s. The woman was taken to hospital in an ambulance. The man’s cause of death is not known, and he has been sent for an autopsy. No traces of blows or sharp objects were found on the bodies, says the prosecution. (news/NTB)
