30 January 2024 at 10:05 INP announces complaint about Waltherzøe’s new party name The Industrial and Business Party (INP) believes the Norwegian Industrial Party (DNI) is too similar to their own name and will lodge a complaint. – We are going to appeal the name. It is far too close to our name. We are called the Industri- og Næringspartiet, they call themselves the Industripartiet. DNI is also the same abbreviation as the Norwegian Israel Mission, says INP leader Joar Nesse to the Parliament. The statement comes after it became known that former INP leader Owe Ingemann Waltherzøe will form a new party called the Norwegian Industrial Party. There is still a long way to go before the party is officially registered, but if they are, INP will appeal the party name to the party register. The parties act states that in order for a party to be registered in the party register, the name cannot be confused with another party registered in the register. (© NTB)
