13 October 2023 at 15:21 Contagious meningitis detected in Trondheim – A 19-year-old from Trondheim has been diagnosed with serious meningococcal disease, also called contagious meningitis, Trondheim municipality writes in a press release. The infected person is a student at Heimdal upper secondary school. Information has been sent out to affected students and teachers. Trondheim municipality writes that there is very little probability that more cases will occur. They still ask people to be aware of signs of serious illness in people in the immediate environment.
