Khan’s defender says they do not accept this illegal decision. Khan was voted out of confidence in the National Assembly in April 2022 and is currently serving a three-year prison sentence for corruption. There are elections in Pakistan on February 8. The former cricket star was the Prime Minister of Pakistan from 2018 to 2022, when he was ousted following a motion of no confidence. Since then, Khan has become the focus of nearly 150 trials, including multiple charges of corruption, terrorism and incitement to violence.
