The International Criminal Court (ICC) issues arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Hamas leader Mohammed al-Masri. They follow the encouragement from chief factor Karim Khan in May. The court says they have reason to believe that Netanyahu and Gallant were aware of Israeli attacks on Palestinian civilians, and that they are guilty of murder, persecution and other “inhuman acts”. They also believe that Netanyahu and Gallant have used hunger as a weapon against the Palestinians.
