– I want to characterize him as Norway’s most dangerous man – news Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country

– When I heard that Millehaugen was on the run, it evoked a lot of memories. Lots of bad memories of the murder of my good friend. Mikael Niaz Ali tells news. For years he was a notorious gang member and a well-known torpedo in Oslo. For several years he was a central part of one of Norway’s oldest criminal gangs, Young Guns. The gang that was involved, among other things, when nine shots were fired, in the middle of a crowd at Aker Brygge in 2006. It has been over ten years since he left the gang life behind. Today, he works to prevent more people from being recruited to criminal circles. In 2009, his friend and leader of the Young Guns, Mohammed “Jeddi” Javed, was shot and killed in his own car, which was then set on fire. Stig Millehaugen was sentenced to 21 years in prison for the murder. Stig Millehaugen (in the middle) in court in 2012, when he was sentenced to 21 years in custody. He is also wanted internationally through Interpol. – If he is not arrested fairly quickly, then it will create a lot of insecurity. That’s what I feel, says Ali, and adds: – What does he have to lose now? He’s starting to get a little older, and has no way back now that he has escaped. If he is pushed into a corner, then I think that his previous actions show that he is willing to go to great lengths to get out of things. Among other things, by opening fire on police officers. Stig Millehaugen was caught by a surveillance camera during the robbery of Sparebanken Nor’s branch in Oppsal in Oslo in 1992. Photo: POLICE / news – Norway’s most dangerous man Millehaugen has also previously been convicted of killing a prison officer after an escape attempt from prison. – I want to characterize him as Norway’s most dangerous man – considering what he has done before, Ali says. He believes the way the killings were carried out indicates that Millehaugen is willing to go far. – It’s a very ugly murder. He is very dangerous, I would say, says Ali. He says that he thinks a lot about the survivors, to both Javed and the prison officer, now that the case is being brought forward again. – It must be absolutely awful. I really hope he is caught quickly. Millehaugen had unattended leave on Wednesday 1 June from 9 am to 3 pm. It was during this leave that he escaped. – The fact that he can take more leave on his own, without any kind of link, is thought-provoking, says Ali. Can be confrontation Former police detective, Johnny Brenna, also believes that a possible arrest could be of the dangerous kind. – It is easy to see that he will soon be apprehended by armed police. As I know Stig, this can quickly end in a confrontation, Brenna says to news. Former police detective Johnny Brenna knows Stig Millehaugen well. Photo: Runa Victoria Engen / news In her political career, Brenna had a lot to do with Millehaugen. He himself has been involved in searching for him several times, as he has previously escaped. He does not think Millehaugen will move for a long time. – I think he will sit still in a penthouse for quite some time – without moving outside at all. He is dependent on some help to get food, but it has probably been taken care of already. According to Brenna, months can pass quickly without him moving. – When he has been a bit forgotten, he can start moving. And then I think he is being tried for smuggling abroad. Interpol has also published an international search for Stig Millehaugen. The ad looks like this on their website. Photo: Screenshot / Interpol Was on the run for eight months In October 2000, Millehaugen ran off on leave and escaped with her boyfriend. Eight months later, in June 2001, he was arrested. It was the longest period Millehaugen has been at large since 1988. At that time he had a pistol in his waistband when he was apprehended by the police in a garage at Frogner in Oslo. He was also in possession of an MP5 submachine gun. The longer it takes before he is taken this time, the better planned this escape appears, the former police detective points out. – Based on my knowledge of the environment, it will surprise me very much if this is not a well-planned escape attempt, says Brenna. – How do the police now work to look for him? – In the first phase, it is important to go broad. Look at the network and the contacts he has had during his imprisonment. Seek out them, search, and simply see if he may have been in contact. Finding his network is absolutely crucial now in the first phase, he answers.
