The fracture in the knuckle of his little finger means that Taugbøl cannot compete any more this season, he tells the newspaper. – It is typical for everything to come at once, but now I will have a plaster cast for a week. Once removed, wait three to five weeks without strain. The season is thus over, says the Lillehammer runner. Taugbøl was tackled by Swedish Marcus Grate and fell from advancement in the quarter-finals of the WC sprint. Then frustration took over. – After I got down to the basement of the stadium building, my anger really got to me. I slammed my fist into a post. Actually, I’m a sane fellow, but then I was mad, Taugbøl explains. – I am more disappointed with the sprint than what happened with the hand. I think the disappointment will linger for quite some time, and it will be hard to watch the last World Cup races on TV.
