With a great deal of apprehension! No one has sung this song after my father. He embodied and carried it throughout his career. As his son, I feel a profound responsibility to honor him and the song appropriately. To relieve some of this pressure, we had others sing it as well. I’ve been sharing those renditions on my social media platforms, inviting everyone to participate in this homage.
