Their boyfriends and a friend were driving another car. Oncoming motorists reacted to their speed. – I got a bit of a pull when I met the first car. I thought “that was close”. Then I see another car, a witness told the court. In a left curve, the defendant lost control of the car. The car hit a boulder, rolled around and came to rest on its roof. The car sustained extensive material damage in the collision. Lena Maria Aase (18) died immediately from the injuries she sustained. When the friends did not come, they drove back to look for them. When he arrives at the scene of the accident, he sees that the car is upside down. – I shout and ask where Lena is, but no one answers me, he explained, choking back tears. He says that the defendant’s girlfriend comes up to him and says something to which he reacts. – She said that I had to say that an animal or something got in the way. Lena was still in the car, and that’s what she thought about, he said.
