– I am his biggest fan – news Culture and entertainment

Robert Stoltenberg is a familiar face to many. Roy Narvestad and the rest of the characters in Borettslaget, the skits with Herman Flesvig, and now Miss Trunchbull in “Mathilda–The Musical” at Folketeateret have made Robert Stoltenberg Norway’s comedy treasure. But did you know he had a twin brother? And that they were super celebrities together at the start of the 90s? The energetic and entertaining twins were discovered by news and featured in the TV program “Panorama”. They were hugely popular. Famous and unstoppable – This is what we had dreamed of: “If only we become famous”. Suddenly we were very familiar. We had the miserly opinion that “if I become known enough, I will be happy”, says Robert in this evening’s Lindmo. – It wasn’t like that, he adds. The fun everyday life did not correspond with how they felt inside. – I was at a stage in my life where I had to figure out myself, and being gay. When you feel insecure on the inside, but on the outside present an image where you are cheerful and cool, the distance becomes great. And you become even more unhinged, says Robert. In addition, they were in a phase where they needed to break away from each other and find their own identity. – So we cut the whole thing, explains Robert. Difficult to break up By then they had lived and done almost everything together for 25 years. For the first time, they were to go their separate ways. – I think it was very difficult, because Robert often went to the breach for things, but now I was completely alone, says Harald. There he explored art, danced ballet and made ablegøy theatre. – It is so wonderful to be a city where the identity you have is the one you have here and now. But it was also tough because you had to start all over again, says Harald. Support each other despite arguments While Harald returned to Oslo as dean and psychotherapist, Robert lived the life of a comedy star on Norwegian TV screens. Harald has had nothing against being less visible in the limelight than his brother: – I have always said that I am his biggest fan. I will always clap for him, says Harald. Now they have written the book “The Turbo Twins and the Great Cannonball Battle” together. It is based on their childhood. – Working together on the book has been great fun. We have returned to where we were, says Robert. Robert and Harald Stoltenberg support and cheer each other on. I am very proud of him, says Robert. See Lindmo on news 1 Friday at 21.35 or whenever you want on news TV.
