In the midst of the tumultuous storms hitting Buenos Aires,  Huracán  prepares to face  Once Caldas  in the  second leg  of the  Round of 16  of the  South American Cup . The team finds itself in a challenging position, needing to reverse a 1-0 defeat sustained in the first leg in Manizales.

The decisive match will take place at the  Tomás Adolfo Ducó Stadium . Whoever emerges victorious will advance to the quarterfinals, facing the winner of the matchup between  Independiente del Valle  and  Mushuc Runa . Given the unpredictable weather conditions, fans are left wondering how these factors might affect the game. The action will be broadcasted live on  ESPN  and  Disney+ .

In the first leg, played at the  Palogrande Stadium  in Manizales,  Once Caldas  struck first, securing a minimal advantage with a penalty goal by  Dayro Moreno . Despite his efforts,  Hernán Galíndez , the goalkeeper for Huracán, was unable to stop this lone shot from finding the net. Galíndez’s performance, however, was strong overall, making a number of extraordinary saves that kept Huracán in the game.

Head Coach  Frank Darío Kudelka  and his team faced significant challenges due to the altitude of 2,150 meters in Manizales, which impacted their performance. As they return to their home turf, the Huracán squad is determined to shift the momentum in their favor against a Colombian side that is not currently at its best in the league.

To build some momentum, Huracán secured three points in the Argentine league last Saturday, defeating  Argentinos Juniors  1-0 courtesy of a last-minute goal by  Agustín Urzi . This victory positioned them third in Zone A of the  Clausura , with a total of nine points from five matches played.

Conversely, Once Caldas has struggled to find their form. They faced  Alianza Valledupar  last Friday and left with just a point after a goalless draw. Coach  Hernán Darío Herrera  largely fielded substitutes for that match, resulting in a disappointing conclusion to the contest. The Colombian team currently sits at the bottom of the league table with only three points from six games, so morale is low.

As both teams prepare for this high-stakes encounter, the atmosphere is already starting to build.  Huracán  is keen to leverage their home advantage and take charge of the game. However, they must remain vigilant against a rejuvenated  Once Caldas , eager to pull off the upset. With both teams having a lot at stake—one looking to advance and the other seeking redemption—the upcoming match promises to deliver intense moments and athletic prowess.

As the kick-off approaches, the strategy and resolve of both squads will come under scrutiny. Fans are excitedly anticipating a thrilling match that embodies the spirit of South American football.
