As the last country in NATO, Hungary’s National Assembly has now approved Sweden’s application to join the organization with 188 votes in favor and 6 against. It happened in a vote on Monday afternoon. – Today we have to be happy that this has finally been confirmed. Sweden is a member and is thus a united Nordic in NATO, says Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Ap) to NTB on his way to a meeting in Paris. – Sweden’s membership makes us stronger and safer, says NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg.
