16 May 2023 at 11:11 Salmon tax: Høyre, KrF and Liberals leave talks Neither the Høyre, Liberals nor KrF will be part of a joint solution on the much-discussed salmon tax in the Storting. The three parties have until now negotiated with the Labor Party and the Center Party about a joint solution. – The governing parties have not shown themselves willing to meet the expectations of either the Conservative Party, the Liberal Party or the Christian People’s Party in the talks about ground rent tax for aquaculture, says a press release from the Conservative Party. The three parties meet the press at the Storting at 11.30 today. In the past, the FRP and the MDG have given thanks for their part in the process. The Center Party’s Geir Pollestad confirms that there is a breach in the negotiations. “Despite the fact that Sp and Ap were willing to make significant concessions in order to get a broad settlement, we note that we will not get a majority for our draft solution,” he says. According to the governing parties, Ap and Sp were, among other things, willing to lower the tax rate from 35 to 30 per cent in an outline for a solution.
