5 March 2023 at 19:43 Bodø/Glimt easily advance in the cup – beat Ranheim 4-0 Kjetil Knutsen’s Bodø/Glimt had few problems in advancing to the quarter-finals of the NM away to Ranheim on Sunday. Hugo Vetlesen played big in the 4-0 victory. Amahl Pellegrino gave the visitors the lead in the 37th minute when he headed in a perfect cross from Hugo Vetlesen. Just after the change of sides, Joel Mvuka doubled for the All Yellows. The 20-year-old pulled himself in at the corner of the 16-metre area before knocking the ball into the crossbar. Ranheim had little to offer in the game throughout, and with 0-2 on the scoreboard there was little to indicate that the Trønders would be able to regain the lead. When Hugo Vetlesen made it 3-0 in the 68th minute, the game was all but decided. The 23-year-old was allowed to go and enter the field before he scored the game’s third goal from wide without pressure behind a played Nicklas Frenderup in the Ranheim goal. Vetlesen was also involved in the fourth goal of the match when he chipped through Fredrik Sjøvold who scored 4-0. The match was the first for Bodø/Glimt after they were relegated from the conference league against Lech Poznan at the end of February. Last year’s runners-up start the elite series season away to Sarpsborg on 10 April. (NTB)
