– Hope the film can inspire many – news Culture and entertainment

– This is good news, says screenwriter and director Tveiten to news. On Tuesday, it was announced that the short film “Nattrikken” has been nominated and is therefore in the running to win an Oscar statuette. The award ceremony itself takes place on 12 March. The Norwegian “Nattrikken” was one of the 15 shortlisted films that fought to be nominated in the category “best short film” within fiction. – Right now it’s chaotic in the head. A big victory for a small film, says producer Gaute Lid Larssen to news, and continued: – This is the film that is about finding the courage in oneself to stand up against injustice. The film is about a drunken woman who steals a tram, and thus becomes responsible for the passengers. MAIN ROLE: Sigrid Husjord plays the main role in “Nattrikken”. All over the world, people are victims of harassment, and often it can be easier not to care and look the other way. – I hope our film can inspire many to find the courage to speak out and take action. This production was ambitious and demanding, and I would like to thank my producers Heidi and Gaute, and the entire staff for their wonderful work, says Tveiten. He told earlier in January in Arena about the somewhat hectic race filled with interviews after the shortlist was announced. You can listen to the entire interview here. Swede Ruben Östlund’s “Triangle of Sadness” has been nominated in a total of three categories, namely “best film”, “best original screenplay” and “best director”. She believes the nomination will mean a lot for the Norwegian film industry. – It is huge. This hangs extremely high, and I just have to celebrate this. Statuette or not, it means a lot of attention to the film anyway, and not least also to other Norwegian films, so this is big, she says to news. The short film was also awarded the prize for best “short narrative” at the Tribeca film festival awards in 2022 and has been shown as a short film at The New Yorker, among other things. Norwegian-Iranian shoe player shortlisted, but not nominated The announcement of the nominations was led by shoe player Allison Williams, known from, among other things, the series “Girls” and the film “Get Out”, and Riz Ahmed known from “The Night Of” and “Sound of metal” . The great Norwegian hope to be nominated in the category “best international film” was “Krigsseileren”, but this did not make it when the shortlist was announced earlier this winter. As a result, there were no Norwegian candidates for this category. CRIME: Journalist Rahimi (Zar Amir-Ebrahimi) is on the trail of a serial killer in “Holy Spider”. But on Tuesday it became clear that “Holy Spider” did not make it as one of the nominees. A favorite that many have pointed to to win the prize for best film is the science fiction multiverse film “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. Film critic at news, Sigurd Vik, gave the film very good marks. Rare return A return that has received a lot of attention is that of shoe player Brendan Fraser in the film “The Wale”. Many have predicted that will be nominated in the “best male lead” category, including CBS News. BACK: Brendan Fraser plays the role in a scene from the new film “The Whale”. Photo: A24 Austin Butler is another who has been widely mentioned and praised for his role in the film “Elvis”. He won the award for “best male shoe actor” at the Golden Globes earlier this year. For the category “best female lead”, there are several people who are holding a button for Viola Davis from “The Woman King”. In addition, Michelle Yeoh from “Everything Everywhere All at Once” is also a favourite. COMBAT: General Nanisca (Viola Davis) leads her soldiers into battle in “The Woman King”. Whether the shock factor in this year’s award ceremony lives up to last year’s remains to be seen. Last year’s awards included Will Smith being banned from the Oscars for 10 years after punching comedian and actor Chris Rock.
