The Lebanese Hezbollah militia announced on Friday night that they are moving towards a “new and escalating phase” in the confrontation with Israel, reports the Reuters news agency. Rocket attacks on Israel will “escalate day by day,” according to the Iran-backed militant group. They also say they plan to use precision-guided missiles for the first time. They further claim that 55 Israeli soldiers have been killed and over 500 soldiers and officers have been wounded since the ground war in Lebanon began on 1 October.
