It is shared on social media in the youth environment in Tønsberg and Færder. Principal Anne Cecilie Thidemansen Bjørvik also confirms this. She had her first day at work as principal this day. In addition, the police’s preventive unit in the South-East is connected. Vesong secondary school in Kløfta is one of the schools that has had episodes of fireworks after New Year. Parents were reminded here that it is illegal to use fireworks for anyone under the age of 18. The school also implemented several measures. “Out of consideration for the life and health of all pupils and staff, it will not be possible to be in recess until Thursday 05.01” it was stated in an e-mail to all parents on 2 January. Great damage potential The fire alarm went off just as the school day was about to end, operations manager Inge Landsrød told the local newspaper Tønsbergs Blad the same day. – Then there is a great potential for damage, and the fire service has examined this area with a thermal camera to ensure that there was no danger of a fire occurring afterwards, says Landsrød to the newspaper.
