The police state that most employees, including several managers and the deputy mayor, have been safely evacuated, writes a local news website. It is not known how many have been killed or injured. According to Reuters, the police also confirm that terrorists are behind the attack, but do not say which group it is. Videos on social media show at least one explosion followed by the sound of gunshots. The attack must be ongoing. The local TV channel Shabelle Media Network writes on Twitter that there were at least three explosions. It is not clear what caused the explosion. Several local journalists and the TV station Dalsan TV write that the terrorist group Al Shabaab is behind it, but this has not been confirmed.
