– I found a picture of my girl, which he had downloaded. I think she is 16 years old there, explained the ex-boyfriend of the accused 52-year-old in Haugaland and Sunnhordland District Court on Monday. She also found pictures of her son’s girlfriend, her nephew’s girlfriend, as well as other girls in her family. – I said I didn’t want to see him anymore. That he had gone way over the line. He was very upset and I think he realized that he had done something that was not acceptable, the woman explained. For five years, the two were lovers until it ended in 2014. Several times during her explanation, she began to cry. PROSECUTOR: Nina Grande questioned the defendant’s ex-boyfriend about their five-year relationship. Eventually she discovered his fetish for women’s shoes and clothes. – It was very difficult for me to deal with because we didn’t have a dialogue. He did not want to explain what it was and what it meant, she said in court. Once she had been on holiday with her children, while he, who was then her boyfriend, looked after her dogs. When she went to pick them up, he wasn’t home, but she had a key and locked herself in. – There I was greeted by a sight of lots of underwear, shoes and lots of pictures. At first I thought, where is the girl he had behind my back? Because it had to be a girl who used all this, she explained. The man, who is now the defendant, thought she would come home a few days later. – I had a strange feeling in my stomach that I had known for a long time. And then I realized that the uncertainty was right, she said in court. Called himself Maud Angelica She also discovered that he was active on a forum where he pretended to be a woman under the name Maud Angelica. – He explained that he was trying to get in touch with other ladies. He had contact with 130 ladies, she explained. According to the ex-girlfriend, he sent anonymized photos of her to the other women on the forum. In return, he was sent pictures of them. – It was terribly difficult to understand. I tried to ask him about things, but in situations like that he got very angry and chose to run away, she explained. The woman explained that the ex-boyfriend spent a lot of time looking for girls. – Just about every time I came to see him, I found notes where he had written down his name, age, address and appearance. It could also say the size of shoes and clothes, she explained. Drop her on the floor The woman said in court that he never hit her. Most often he drove away when she tried to bring up difficult things. But on two occasions she had terrifying experiences with him. They had visited friends of the woman and stayed longer than was first anticipated. He was very angry and frustrated when they left, the woman said. The irritation continued when they got to the camper where they were going to spend the night. – We go to bed, but he continues to talk about how we have been visiting for too long. It ends with him getting out of bed, taking down the ladder and starting to drive. When you lie in an alcove you are defenseless, the woman explained. She eventually managed to calm her boyfriend down. He parked and they went to sleep. – It was a very frightening experience, she told the court. Once when he was visiting, they were in the woman’s bedroom when he held her under her back and knees so that she lay flat in his arms. Then he dropped her on the floor and left the house. – I lost my breath. He just left and I got really scared, she said. Went to a psychologist after the break-up When it was over, the woman went to see a psychologist to rebuild herself. – It was a big strain that there were always so many problems. And every time I ended it, ha,n gave me no peace. Even afterwards, she has not found peace, she explained. According to the woman, the defendant called her with a hidden number. He also called her daughter. She herself testified in court on Monday. The daughter said that the defendant made contact via a fake profile on Facebook after the relationship with her mother ended. They started chatting, but she blocked him when the conversations became what she describes as uncomfortable. – He wrote that he had found a picture of me on Facebook. He said I was sexy and had nice eyes. I remember being afraid to go to activities in Karmøyhallen, for example, because I didn’t know where he was. I looked around me extra when I was swimming, for example, she explained. The daughter did not know that it was her mother’s ex-boyfriend who called and contacted her on Facebook until she was questioned some time later. – I have never had the perception of him that he could be that kind of person, she said. Photo: Marthe Synnøve Johannessen / news – If he was supposed to be a murderer, she doesn’t understand that he wouldn’t have killed her, because she really put him to the wall a few times. What did you mean by this? Kristensen asked. – During the confrontations I made him very angry. He was close but didn’t hit me. I don’t see that he would have done anything so hurtful, she replied. According to the woman, she knew he had been in prison. He explained to her that it was because he had been driving too fast. – Was there anything else you knew, Kristensen asked. – Basically not, answered the woman. – I see in the interrogation that when you started meeting, your son said that you must not meet NN (defendant, editor’s note) anymore because of exposure and stealing women’s clothes? – The ex-husband warned me through the children. But I chose not to listen to my ex-husband, but to NN, the woman replied. – Did you ever think that he would be able to take someone’s life, Kristensen asked. – No, I do not think so. I had a lot of confrontations with him, but I don’t see that he could do something so bad, she said. Birgitte Tengs was found murdered on 6 May 1995. A 52-year-old man from Karmøy is now charged in the Tengs case, and the trial started on Monday 7 November 2022.
