– Haven’t decided on the charges yet – news Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country

Defense attorney Øyvind Bratlien tells news that Marius Borg Høiby has not taken a position on the charges against him. – This will be done when the questioning ends, says Bratlien. Høiby is charged with offenses he allegedly committed against a total of four people. Most of the charges relate to offenses the police believe Høiby has committed against his ex-girlfriend. Høiby has admitted that he has used violence and destroyed objects in her apartment at Frogner, but has not formally taken a position on the question of guilt. Alleged to have breached a restraining order He is charged with two cases of bodily harm (violence), threats, damage, reckless behavior and breach of the restraining order against the woman. According to the police, Høiby has broken the restraining order. This was the reason why they arrested him at a cabin in Innlandet on Friday evening. He was released on Saturday. – Regarding the last charge that led to his arrest, he does not admit guilt. He explained yesterday that he had nothing to do with it, says Bratlien. On Saturday, he was also charged with threats against a fourth person. The police believe that this should be about death threats. In addition, he is being investigated for the theft of a scooter. He has so far not been charged in this case. Considering reporting an audio leak This week Se og Hør published an audio recording of a conversation between the police and Høiby. According to Bratlien, it is Høiby himself who recorded this conversation. – He has never sent this. It should therefore not be possible for Se og Hør to obtain this legally. There is therefore reason to question several aspects of the legality surrounding this. A police report will be considered, says the defender. It was TV 2 that first mentioned the possible review. Se og Hør editor Ulf André Andersen tells the channel that they have obtained the audio recording in “usual journalistic fashion”. Bratlien goes on to say that this is a demanding issue to handle. – We have no critical objections to the police, with the exception of the basis for the arrest on Friday, which was very thin, says Bratlien.
