On Tuesday morning, the emergency services were notified that there was a severe fire in a kindergarten at Ullevål Hospital. The fire service is on the scene with many resources, and has now got the fire under control, the Oslo 110 center reports. – We cannot save the building and are now engaged in defensive efforts. The fire has spread to the facade of an adjacent building, but we have it under control, says duty chief of staff Joakim Lystad. He says there is no danger to life and health. The fire is in the area of the hospital and the building of around 600-700 square metres, was in full flames when the emergency services arrived in the area. There must be no people in the building. The fire service has 15 vehicles in the area and is replenishing with crews to prevent the spread of the fire. – We are working to prevent spread and prepare for evacuation if necessary, says duty commander Tor Audunhus at the 110 central in Oslo to NTB.
