Had 100 children on accommodation – news Vestland

A man from Western Norway has recently been convicted in Oslo District Court for abusing two young boys in Austland. It all started with a rollout in the 90s. The man was then sentenced to six months in prison in a case that received a lot of media coverage. The case started when a photographer in Western Norway found a nude photo of young boys among the photos he developed for the then unpunished man. 30 years later, new serious debts in the case have emerged. Four years ago, the case was reported to the police. Now the verdict is clear: The Westerner will be imprisoned for five years. Had great confidence in parents The man himself denied criminal guilt when the case was up in Oslo District Court. – My client does not feel that in the debts that the case is in debt, says defense lawyer Paul-Inge Angelshaug about the indictment. He adds that the client will exercise the right to appeal the decision from the district court. But in court documents, the defendant’s explanation was described as “not very credible”. Behind closed doors in Oslo District Court, it was described that the accused must have had a caring role for one of the offended people he abused. In addition, he has held positions in organizations that work with children and had great trust among parents. Through this work, close to 100 children will have spent the night with the man. According to the verdict, the man was conducting the distribution of “overnight tickets” in the environment in which the abuse took place. Easy to be believed In addition to the prison sentence, the man must pay compensation of close to 800,000 kroner to the two offended, it appears from the verdict. The assistance lawyer for one of the victims, Silje Breimo Bredesen, says that her client is relieved to have been believed in the district court. – My client is satisfied with the verdict and is relieved to have been believed in a unanimous verdict, she says. It is now four years since she reported the case to the police on behalf of her client. The wait has a huge burden because he told news in May. – The waiting time has been disproportionately long, my client is satisfied that the case is now being processed in the court system, says Bredesen. Had a picture of abuse in the home The man was in the late 90’s convicted of “fornication” against three young boys. When the police contacted him again, they found over 1,500 unique pictures and seven short abuse videos of children in his home. When the current case was closed in the district court in mid-June, the police asked for five years in prison for the man. – There are serious abuses against children, which also apply to sexual intercourse. They have been around for a long time, around eight years for one child. The abuse has given both victims severe trauma, and they have had to live with this for 27 years, said public prosecutor Tonje Tønder.
