For many, Dag Kaas is probably best known as a cross-country coach. He was for several years the national team coach in women’s cross-country skiing, and he also worked for many years as coach for Heming IL and personal trainer for Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen. – It is with great sadness that we have received the news of Dag Kaas’ passing. Our thoughts go out to the family and our sporting friends, Astrid, Carl, Sverre and Martin. It is unbelievable that Dag has passed away. He was an active and committed colleague and contributor to sports right up to the end. Dag will be deeply missed by many, says top sports manager Tore Øvrebø. Kaas has been a key person in Olympiatoppen since its inception, but he is also well known as a cross-country coach, business consultant, orienteering coach and manager and outdoor enthusiast. It is only a few weeks since he represented the Olympic summit as OLT coach during the World Shooting Championships in Cairo, where he was very happy about the Norwegian success.
