1 July 2023 at 20:17 Haakon Børde is dead Former news employee Haakon Børde is dead, aged 83. The family informs news. Børde worked at news from 1969 until he retired in 2007. He was a correspondent in Buenos Aires from 1984 to 1988. He also covered the wars in Afghanistan in 2001 and in Iraq in 2003. Børde died at Diakonhjemmet Sykehus in Oslo on 1 July after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, two sons and one grandson.
