The 79-year-old actor and singer fell asleep in Bærum hospital late on Monday evening with his family around him. This is what the family’s spokesperson, lawyer Truls Haldorsen, tells news. Børresen is a well-known personality from children’s TV. Many remember him well for his role in the TV series “Tre-fire-fem”, where he was dressed as the dog Labbetuss, as well as his role as Max Mekker in the series “Sesame Station” in the 90s. Before that, he was a presenter in the children’s TV series “Lekestue” in the 70s. It was his presenter debut. He also played in the series “Friends and Enemies”. In addition to his roles on the TV screen, he was employed at the National Theater for 20 years. He spent four years at the Theater School, as well as three years on the textile course at the Statens Håndverks- og Kunstindustriskole. Børresen also dabbled in music. He is survived by his wife Wenche, children and grandchildren. In May, he told in an interview in Se og Hør that he had contracted bowel cancer. Børresen was diagnosed with cancer in September 2021.
