It concerns a wooden building with several housing units in Kronstad in Alta. The extinguishing has started, but otherwise most things are unclear, and it is too early to say whether there were people in the home where the fire started, the police say a little after 10 p.m. There is heavy smoke, and the police ask the public who are exposed the smoke, about closing doors and windows. – That smoke is certainly not safe, the police at the scene say to news’s reporter. They ask people to keep their distance from toxic gases. If people have been exposed to smoke and feel unwell, they should contact the healthcare system. The house is a four-person home on two floors, according to operator Jørn Eriksen on the 110 switchboard. – From what we have seen, the entire home is affected by fire.
