They have connected the 35-year-old’s own phone to all the subscriptions the fraudster has created. Then we were quite sure that he was on his way to Elkjøp, says Busch, which turned out to be true and the police arrested him on the spot. Previously expelled from the country Two days later, the 35-year-old was remanded in custody in Vestfold district court. The police said during the detention meeting that they have received reports from other places in the country on similar matters for which he is now charged. According to the imprisonment order, the man has been permanently deported from Norway after serving a previous sentence. The ruling states that the accused has stated that he was released from serving a sentence in Norway in April this year. After this, he has stayed in Norway, but also in France. – In the court’s opinion, the accused’s weak connection to Norway means that there are concrete and objective evidence that he will avoid criminal prosecution if he is released now, says the ruling from the district court.
