Four Russians were arrested – released from custody – news Nordland

Defenders Allan Bruland Rognan, Christian Wulff Hansen, Tarjei Magnus Hugaas and Arne Johansen confirm this to news. VG reported on the case first. – My client has been notified and released tomorrow, Rognan told news on Thursday evening. The four Russians were arrested on Tuesday last week. They have all explained that they were in Norway as tourists. A few days later they were detained for taking pictures in a place where photography is prohibited. Still charged? The lawyer for one of the detained Russians, Christian Wulff Hansen, says that his client does not know what she has done wrong. Wulff Hansen was with her on Thursday. He informs news that he has not received any information about the charges being dropped. The four are charged under the Information Act, paragraph 6 first paragraph, cf. paragraph 3 second paragraph: for having recorded or otherwise used information relating to certain designated objects worthy of screening or activity taking place in or near such objects. On Friday 14 October, the Helgeland District Court allowed the police to remand them for seven days. Lawyer Christian Wulff Hansen is defending a Russian woman. Photo: Frank Nygård / news – There were new interrogations on Thursday. It was decided that she will not be presented for a new term. I would like to believe that if they have any strong suspicions about her, they would not have risked her going to Russia, says Wulff Hansen. And adds: – Basically, she is free and frank. The plan is for her to be transported to Mosjøen, where they were arrested. Depressed Wulff Hansen says that the woman has been depressed in the time since she was arrested. – It has been tough for her. She says she is treated well, and is doing well under the circumstances. But she wanted to have contact with her family. Especially the mother to be able to say that she is fine. It is good to be able to call the family and tell them that everything is fine again. She has been really looking forward to it, says the lawyer. Also lawyer Tarjei Magnus Hugaas, who defends the third Russian, informs news that he has received confirmation from the prosecution that his client will be released on Friday. – Then he will be released without restrictions, he says to news. Arne Johansen represents the fourth arrested Russian. He tells news that it is right that he is moving towards release. – When the police do not request a new imprisonment, it is reasonable to believe that there are no longer reasonable grounds for suspecting something criminal. That has always been my client’s position on the matter.
