It is not unusual for Sunndalsøra to have good temperatures. And also on the night of Wednesday, Sunndalsøra topped the temperature list. They never came below 20.6 degrees, says meteorologist Marit Berger. – It has been a hot night, says the meteorologist. Here it was a tropical night Møre and Romsdal: Sunndalsøra: 20.6 Tafjord: 20.1 Nordland: Lurøy: 20.4 Skrova lighthouse: 20.0 Both in Møre and Romsdal, Nordland and Trøndelag there were good temperatures on the night of Wednesday, but the were only four places that remained above the magical limit of 20 degrees, where you get tropical nights. In 2024, the meteorologists have registered a total of 8 tropical nights around the country. Møre and Romsdal have had two, while in Nordland six tropical nights have been recorded so far this year. Someone may have to throw away the duvet on the night of Thursday too. – It is possible that it will be hot in some places the next night as well, but there is probably a slight downward trend in the temperature, so hopefully many people will say that we probably won’t get above 20 degrees, says Berger. Marit Berger is a state meteorologist. Northern Norway gets the nicest weather While southern Norway has had a wet summer, northern Norway has been the big weather winner. Over the next few days, most of the country will experience unstable weather. – There is some low pressure out in the Norwegian Sea that is leading rainfall systems towards the country, the meteorologist says. Therefore, it will be gray and rainy in many places in southern Norway, but once in a while you can put away the umbrella. – There will also be some periods with a bit of rain in between, but in general there will be some precipitation that will pass both in Eastern Norway, Western Norway and in Central Norway. The meteorologist’s forecasts show that it is the northernmost part of the country, parts of Finnmark and Troms, which will escape the cheapest in the next few days as well. – There will probably be a bit of sun and mostly dry weather the further north and east you go, says Berger.
