23 July 2023 at 02:48 Four missing after torrential rain in Canada The Canadian province of Nova Scotia has been hit by its heaviest rain in more than 50 years. This has led to major floods and enormous damage. On Friday, over 25 centimeters of rain fell in some places in just 24 hours. This is about the same amount of rainfall as the province receives over three months. The floods have washed away roads, weakened bridges and filled buildings with floodwater. Provincial Minister Tim Houston calls some of the damage “unbelievable”. Four people, two of them children, have so far been reported missing in the storm. (NTB-news)
