21 January 2023 at 10:16 Four sentenced after Artin (15 months) was found dead in the sea at Karmøy last year, reports Aftenbladet Artin was found dead in the sea at Karmøy on New Year’s Day 1 2021. Now four men have been sentenced by French law to prison terms and fines for human trafficking and negligent homicide, reports Stavanger Aftenblad. Both Artin’s mother, father and older siblings died when they were to be smuggled to England from France by boat. Two other refugees also died in the boat wreck. Two of the men who have been convicted are Iranians living in Denmark. The other two also have an Iranian background. All pleaded not guilty.
