A further three are critically injured. The ambulance service in the state of Queensland has taken care of at least 13 people after the serious accident, writes The Guardian. The Australian Associated Press writes that one helicopter ended up in the sea and was left upside down, surrounded by wreckage. The police state that one of the helicopters managed to land near the Sea World amusement park after the collision. The first information indicates that the accident happened at 2 pm local time, when two helicopters came into contact with each other, the police write in a statement. The Accident Investigation Board has notified a preliminary report within six to eight weeks. They are asking people who saw the collision or observed parts of the helicopters’ flight to come forward. The commission is also interested in any video recordings. (NTB)
