Fosser was over the knockout sprint on Tuesday, but he was in top stroke when he ran in to the time 13.56. Swedish Gustav Bergman took the silver ahead of Belgian Yannick Michiels. Swiss Florian Howald, who won the qualification by two seconds at Fosser, made a mistake in the start that punished him severely. At the first pass, he was a full 23 seconds behind the Norwegian.
