The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a yellow warning for strong gusts of wind in Vestland. The Hardanger Bridge in Vestland is closed due to the wind. On Friday afternoon, wind gusts with a strength of between 20-28 meters per second are expected. The strongest gusts are expected along the coast and in the mountains. In the mountains, it can be over 40 meters per second and the consequences can be uprooted trees and roots, convoys due to snow drifts, closed bridges and ferries. This mainly applies to the inner part of Hordaland and Rogaland, reports the Swedish Road Transport Agency. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration asks people who are going to drive over the mountain to keep an eye on the weather and road reports.
