Police attorney Hans Olav Røyr says they are following the district court’s verdict. He filed a claim for 18 days in prison for the doctor after a botched operation in 2019. It was the two lay judges who believed that Sørlandet Hospital had to take the main responsibility for the mistakes. Professional judges would judge Omarchanov. – This is based on an overall assessment, says Røyr.
