23 November 2023 at 08:01 SSB: Flat development in the Norwegian economy in the 3rd quarter New figures from the national accounts show that the GDP of Mainland Norway increased by 0.1 per cent from the 2nd to the 3rd quarter, measured in constant prices, reports SSB. High prices and rising interest rates have meant that Norwegians have lower purchasing power. This has slowed down consumption, and the construction of housing estates has fallen sharply. Growth in employment has almost stopped.
