1 January 2024 at 03:18 Five injured in traffic accident on Romerike Five people are injured after three cars with seven people were involved in a traffic accident on national highway 170 in Aurskog Høland on the night of Monday. According to the police, a child was seriously injured in the accident. There is also suspicion of drink-driving. – There has first been a head-on collision between two passenger cars. Then a third car drove into one of the cars. One of the drivers in the three cars is suspected of drink driving, operations manager Tom Sandberg in the East police district tells NTB. The police were notified of the accident via AMK at 2.02am. There is major material damage and the road will be closed in both directions for quite some time. The extent of the damage to the others involved has not been clarified. The accident happened at Killingmosletta. Fylkesvei 170, Kompveien, is closed between Killingmokrysset and Aursmoen. There is a detour via county road 171.
