The police have charged five young people aged 15-19 with serious threats with firearms and serious illegal weapons, or complicity in this. This is confirmed by police inspector in the Oslo police, Marte Heggli, in a press release. One of the accused will be produced for imprisonment today. Two of the accused, aged 15 and 16, were released after questioning. They are followed up by care services, the police say. The last of the five was jailed on 11 July for four weeks for illegal possession of firearms and a serious drug offence, before the charge was extended to also apply to serious threats. There may be more people involved. The police take shootings in public spaces very seriously, and the case is a priority loudly, the police write in the press release. – It cannot be ruled out that there may be more people involved in the case. The police are now working further with the investigation of the case. – Central to the further investigation is identifying several possible perpetrators, questioning witnesses and reviewing technical evidence.
