10 January 2024 at 05:59 First NHL goal point for Norwegian youngster Emil Martinsen Lilleberg scored his first NHL goal point for the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday night Norwegian time. Sarpingen, who made his NHL debut for the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday, had renewed confidence heading into Tuesday’s home game against the Los Angeles Kings. The Norwegian thanked for the trust by being the third last on the puck when Tampa Bay equalized at 2-2 in the third period, a score that ensured the game went to extra time. There, Nick Perbix became the big hero when he scored the decisive 3-2 score. Lilleberg got a total of 16 minutes and 38 seconds on the ice. Lilleberg has played well for the Lightning’s farm team Syracuse Crunch in the AHL, which has led to his chance at the top level. The 22-year-old played for Sparta before making the trip to Sweden and Oskarshamn and then being drafted to the United States. He is the ninth Norwegian in history to have been given the chance in the NHL. – The dream is to play regularly in this team, but now there are so many injuries so it’s about giving a good impression and then we’ll see what comes after that, Lilleberg told news after Sunday’s debut.
