Fire on board production ship at Stord extinguished – news Vestland

There has been a fire in the production ship “Johan Castberg” which is docked at Aker Solutions in Stord. – The fire has now been extinguished, and the fire service is on the scene to ensure that it does not flare up again, says Svein Nesse at the 110 central Sør-Vest. The crew is reported to be 187 people, and everyone on board must be evacuated and accounted for. – No injuries have been reported, says operations manager at Sør-West police district, Victor Fenne-Jensen. There should not have been a risk of spread. – The fire started a bit in the upper decks, and there was a lot of smoke coming out of it.
