The police say that there are student residences in a row. – They are close. Many student families live here. Both adults and children have been evacuated. The smoke is both powerful and very toxic. That is why we are evacuating so many people, says Østrått. Østrått adds that it is too early to say anything about the cause of the fire. Just before 06.30, the police report that the fire service is starting to get control of the fire, and that some residents can return to their homes.
