20 September 2022 at 14:31 Fire in apartment put out – one person taken out A man was taken out of an apartment on the third floor of a building in Sandviken in Bergen, after a fire broke out in the apartment. The state of health is unclear, and the person concerned is being treated by the healthcare system, the police report. The person was unconscious when he was taken out, writes BA. The person has been sent to Haukeland University Hospital. The police have not been able to confirm the person’s ID. – The fire is now out. It has been burning well and there has been a lot of smoke, says duty commander in 110 West, Tore Fanebust. The first report came at 14.31, when the police reported that black smoke was coming out of the building, and that people had been observed inside the building. At 14.38 the police reported that there were no signs of open flames, but that soot had been seen on a window on the third floor. – There is a lot of glass splashing, so a safety distance has been established around the building, the police wrote on Twitter at the time. The evacuated persons can now move back to the residence, says operations manager Steinar Hausvik in the West police district.
