18 July 2024 at 10:13 Fined for joking about the prime minister’s height An Italian journalist must pay close to NOK 60,000 in compensation to prime minister Giorgia Meloni after making fun of her on social media. Journalist Giulia Cortese has also been fined NOK 14,000 after joking about Meloni’s height in a post on Twitter in October 2021. Meloni, who according to Italian media is around 1.60 tall, reported Cortese for “body shaming” after the two women first had had a crass exchange in social media (NTB).
