The sellers are said to have sent drugs such as cocaine and amphetamines. Fear of new arena for buying and selling The police believe that more and more of the drug room can be accessed via social media and with the help of professional distributors, such as Norway Post. In just one year, in 2018, the Customs discovered 12,000 letters and packages of drugs and illegal drugs in the mail. – We think it is serious that traditional distributors such as Norway Post are used to send illegal drugs around the whole country, says Melkild. The police have previously gone out and asked people to lock their mailboxes to avoid being used in connection with drug trafficking. Postje, head of anti-crime at Posten, Terje Ulfsten, says the courses are all staffed so that they can detect and notify such shipments. He says they are constantly discovering letters and packages with illegal content. – It can be, for example, cannabis, which has a very special smell. It could be powder leaks, or liquid that splashes or that it rattles in tablets, he says. Children playing outside the kindergarten found a suspicious, disposable powder. It turned out to be drugs. The police, for example, have no suspects in the case, and fear that those behind it have sent a number of letters and parcels before it was discovered. – Probably there may be several packages and letters we do not have control over, says police station chief Melkild.
