DEMANDING FOR THE INDUSTRY: It makes an impression on professional drivers when serious accidents occur with heavy vehicles, says Tysnes Photo: Ola Bjørlo Strande / Ola Bjørlo Strande In general, winter driving can be challenging with a heavy car. The drivers encounter snow, slippery roads and other road users who have problems. This afternoon, Tysnes received information that it has been slippery in the center of Lillehammer and on the E6 Gudbrandsdalen. Tysnes encourages everyone to adjust their speed to the conditions and drive carefully. – It’s almost something you always say, but it’s extra important now. Concerned about the speed Section manager Asbjørn Stensrud in the National Road Administration states that salt was laid on the E6 Gudbrandsdalen from Vingrom to Rosten in Dovre this morning. Gravel was laid from Rosten to Dovrefjell. The driving conditions on this stretch still proved to be challenging, and salt was therefore also applied. Stensrud states that the E6 should now have satisfactory driving conditions. He nevertheless clarifies that there are large local differences and that the flow can develop throughout the evening. – We ask people to adjust their speed according to the conditions. We observe too much high speed, he concludes. VARIABLE DRIVING CONDITIONS: Stensrud asks road users to take into account that driving conditions may vary throughout the evening.
