30 September 2023 at 20:52 Extending the deadline in the USA Congress in the USA has surprisingly decided to extend the deadline for agreement on the budget by 45 days. As a result, there will probably not be a shutdown of public society in the first place. But one of the requirements for financial aid to Ukraine has been removed from the proposal and this may prevent approval in the Senate. 2 million state employees were in danger of being made redundant and thus without pay. The deadline for agreeing on a new national budget actually expires at midnight local time on Saturday, at 6 o’clock Sunday morning Norwegian time.
